ACCESSING MY SERVICES REMOTELY
During the Covid-19 pandemic I offered to work with clients remotely using Zoom. It proved to be an invaluable tool to ensure continuity of service during lockdowns and enforced social distancing measures. I was able to adapt EMDR to be delivered remotely following guidelines developed by the EMDR Academy in the UK.
I continue to offer remote sessions to improve access for clients based in other parts of the country or those who might find it difficult to attend traditional office-based services. I can offer sessions to clients overseas as well and I have a lot of experience of working with ex-pats living overseas.
I have found video-based therapy to be just as effective as face-to-face sessions. My impression has been confirmed by other therapists as well as in the research literature. For example, see
Backhaus et al.
I welcome clients from all over the UK and internationally (for example, I have had a lot of experience with ex-pats living overseas).
HOW MY SERVICES ARE REGULATED
I am registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
